FAMILY WORKSHOP: COOL KALEIDOSCOPES

Watch the children's double feature screening of Sesame Street: Elmo and Zoe's Scientific Exploration and then join us for a special workshop where your child will design their very own kaleidoscope to take home. Children will learn about all of the colors and shapes that can be created with refracted light. No reservations required and space is limited.

TECH FOR TOTS: PAINTING WITH COMPUTERS

Join us for a special workshop where your child uses technology as a learning tool! Children explore their artistic talent while learning some of the basic functions of a computer and mouse. Reservations for up to one (1) child and one (1) adult can be made beginning the Monday of the week the program is offered by calling (212) 833-7858. Best suited for children at a pre-k to kindergarten learning level (between ages 3-6).

Join us to uncover the fascinating world of nanoscience and nanotechnology. Participate in hands-on activities that explore the properties, structures, materials and scale of this important field of science. Also visit our nanotechnology exhibit to learn about its various applications in use today. All activities require general admission to the Lab and are available on a first come first served basis. No reservation required. Best suited for children aged 7 and up.

Celebrate Halloween at the Lab and experiment with some spooky fun! Catch a monstrous movie, have some hauntingly hands-on fun, and go home with gobs of ghoulish goodies! Screenings include the children’s features Elmo Says Boo, Dora The Explorer, and Go, Diego, Go. No reservations required. All activities and screenings require general admission to the Lab and are available on a first come first served basis.
