FAMILY WORKSHOP: LITTLE MUSIC MAKERS

Watch Elmo's World: Let's Play Music and then join us for a special workshop where you can learn the about different sounds instruments make. Create and design your own musical instrument to take home. Especially for younger audiences. No reservation required and space is limited.

GAMING 101: LITTLE BIG PLANET®
Saturdays (March 6th – Saturday, April 24th)
3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
$100 per child
Get ready to get in the game! This unique workshop runs for eight weeks every Saturday beginning March 6th – April 24th. Children will work hands-on with an instructor to develop their own unique levels for the Little Big Planet video game. At the end of the series children will be able to post the levels they designed online to share with other gamers from around the world. Registration for this workshop is reserved for children 9 -15 years of age. Video gaming experience with the PlayStation 3® is helpful but not required. Space is limited. Join us for a unique workshop where you can build your own working robot! Using motors, screws, recycled materials and technical guidance, you'll learn how to assemble and power up your personalized robot to take home. In collaboration with the Nanoscale Informal Science Education (NISE) Network’s annual NanoDays event, the Lab will offer a variety of engaging activities and hands-on workshops in nanotechnology. Experiment with the properties, structures, materials and scale of this important field of science. See a real nanoscope demonstrated in our HD Theater (courtesy of Sony DADC) and learn about how the digital world utilizes nano based science. Also visit our nanotechnology exhibit to learn about its various applications in use today. No reservation required- all activities require general admission to the Lab.
ROBOTS ON DISPLAY
APRIL 1 –MAY 30
Explore a variety of unique robots on display at the Lab throughout the months of April and May. NYC's Robot Village brings their playful collection of toy robots and joins us for several Bot Building workshops in March and April. Robot Display's are available to all visitors with a general admission ticket to the Lab.

Watch Sesame Street: Happy Healthy Monsters and join us for a special workshop where you can learn all about fitness and how to stay healthy from a certified physical fitness instructor. You can also decorate a reusable water bottle to take home! No reservation required and space is limited.
